Scream Queen

Ho Che Anderson
Ho Che Anderson
A young woman, stranded in the desert after her car breaks down, manages to get a lift from another woman passing along the road. After chatting away in a friendly manner, swapping little pieces of their lives she has to leave for an appointment with a man and is somewhat surprised to find on her arrival at his apartment that he is busy having sex. And not just sex, but sex with a woman who is one of the living dead, come to bring the man over to the other side.

British-born Canadian artist/writer Anderson is best known for his warts and all graphic novel biography of Martin Luther King Jnr and Young Hoods in Love. Scream Queen marks quite a change for a man some describe as one of the most important black comics artists in North America today, taking him into genre territory but maintaining his much-admired graphic style.
