Volume 15 explores the years 1983 through 1985, best represented by Weirdo, Crumb’s magazine which he founded and edited. Includes the first Mode O’Day strips and such Crumb classics as “Psychopathia Sexualis” and “Where Has It Gone, All the Beautiful Music of Our Grandparents?”
Also featured are collaborations with Harvey Pekar (from American Splendor) and Charles Bukowski, rare music-related art, the illustrations from Edward Abbey’s The Monkey Wrench Gang, strips from Zap Comix, bold experiments with brushwork, and much more, wrapped under an introduction from Crumb protégé Peter Bagge.
