Author Dez Skinn will be well known to many of you as the editor of the monthly Comics International. Now he has authored this 288 page book exploring the world of the underground comic book. The book covers the artwork and countercultural legacy of comix, key events in the history of this rarely analysed part of the comics medium, and biographies of its most influential artists and writers. Illustrated throughout with original artworks from the likes of R. Crumb, and Gilbert Shelton and also including British indy works, including the early 2000AD and books like Skin. Highly recommended.
