Koto are making this special piece to celebrate Star Wars 30th Anniversary. It depicts Luke and Vader, locked in battle, as painted by Ralph McQaurrie back in 1975 as the Star Wars concepts were being developed. This is a pretty famous painting and Vader is wholly recognisable but also different from the filmed version given that here he sports the much more angular Helemet design.
Luke in the original script is required to encounter Vader in a ship whose hull has been breached hence the need for the breathing mask and air bottles shown on the figure (of course, in the end, the battle didn't actually get filmed that way - or even included in the first movie). I can't from memory ever remember these interpretations being avaiable in figure form before, so this is a fantastic treat for fans and collectors.
Vader stands around 10" tall with the crouching Luke at about 7.5". As with all Koto figures this requires some pieces to be pushed together before display. Excellent!!
