Welcome to the sixth book in the D’Artiste series, in which each Master Artist presents their digital painting techniques through a series of tutorials which start with the idea and step through the process of bringing the idea to fruition from sketch to finished piece. The book is broken into four sections based around each Master Artist.
Artists’ sections include a personal gallery, the artist’s work and thoughts in their own words, a large tutorial section, and an invited artist gallery featuring work from some of the most talented digital artists in the world. Adding further insight, the four featured artists impart their opinions on each of the invited pieces explaining what inspires or interests them about each artwork.
D’Artiste: Digital Painting 2 showcases the work and creative prowess of acclaimed digital artists: Daniel Dociu, Mélanie Delon, Don Seegmiller, and Marta Dahlig. These four Master Artists have worked on a number of high-profile game projects, how-to books, and teaching posts spanning the gamut of the digital painting landscape.
Each artist provides wonderful insights into their approaches, and thoughts on the direction and challenges of their careers. Each artist also covers in depth, their process from the initial concept, right through painting techniques and tricks, to completion of three major paintings. Each tutorial provides priceless tips on improving any artist’s digital painting skills.
