When Coraline moves to a new house she is fascinated by the fact that their house is in fact only half a house. Divided in to flats years before, the other flat, it soon becomes clear to Coraline, is not quite as cosy and safe as her own after she finds the key to the mysterious connecting door and finds a dark, mirror image of her own home, with a talking cat and the sinister, button-eyed Other Mother. A wonderfully creepy children’s tale (great for adults too!) by Neil Gaiman, here re-imagined by P Craig Russell into a graphic novel; Coraline is currently being adapted for an animated movie version.
