The book covers the artwork and countercultural legacy of comix, key events in the history of this rarely analysed part of the comics medium, and biographies of its most influential artists and writers. Illustrated throughout with original artworks from the likes of R. Crumb, and Gilbert Shelton and also including British indy works, including the early 2000AD and books like Skin. Highly recommended.
