Mike Molcher drops us a line from Uncle Tharg to let us know that from today (at 11am onwards) a new feature will be appearing on the official 2000 AD site each week, as Pete Wells of the 2000 AD Covers Uncovered site will be posting on the comic’s own site, talking to the artists and getting a first-hand account of what goes into the making of a 2000 AD cover.
“I’ve read and loved 2000 AD for years and just set the blog up because it was always the covers that caught my eye every week. To be able to get the artists to reveal the process behind their amazing work has been a real labour of love. I’m really excited that I’m going to be working with 2000 AD to bring the behind-the-scenes sketches, pencils and inks to fans everywhere,” Pete Wells.
The series kicks off on the 2000 AD site this morning at 11am with a look at the Steve Yeowell cover for this week’s issue, Prog 1823, which salute the final part (double sized ep this week) of Yeowell and Ian Edginton’s The Red Seas.
