Art and Internet…

Jamie McKelvie has posted up the strip from the 2011Art Brut Brilliant! Tragic! comic anthology. It’s loooverly…

Archie Comics takes things into places you really didn’t think they’d go…. Occupy Riverdale. Nope, didn’t see that one coming. And here’s Jill Thompson’s variant cover. You know how I really, really hate variant covers. Well here’s another of those exceptions I allow myself every so often (Via Comics Alliance):

Ashcan Allstars had a Spirit theme… Will Eisner’s character always seems to bring out the best in people. Here’s Robbie Rodriguez:

… and Sara Pichelli:

Quinne Larson – great art…. (Via Lulu Bonanza)

Richard Case is responsible for the artwork on one of my favourite series of all time; Grant Morrison’s run on Doom Patrol. How much do I love it? This much. Here’s a recent commission from Case reimagining the cover for Doom Patrol 24. I’d love, love, love to have the cash to commission a complete set of the things:

And the original:

And whilst we’re doing covers… From Marvel’s 1980s blog and Lulu Bonanza…. Patricio Oliver’s rejigged New Mutants covers, of the time I loved The New Mutants, which he originally put up on the Covered blog

And the original…. by Bill Sienkiewicz

And whilst I was on the Covered blog…. this from Steve Tillotson:

Original cover by Bob Kane and Charles Paris (DC 1948):

Jamie Hewlett; Deadline Issue 1, another thing we owe Brett Ewins for….. via Steve Cook:
